It is with deep gratitude and a full heart that I welcome you to the Levester Boleware Palmer Because She Cares Foundation. This organization was created to honor the life and legacy of my grandmother, Levester "MooMoo" Boleware Palmer — a woman whose love, strength, and quiet acts of kindness shaped everyone who knew her. She lived with intention, led with compassion, and believed in showing up for people when they needed it most.

In December 2025, we established this foundation as a way to continue the care she gave so freely. While we are a small, startup nonprofit, our mission is powerful: to uplift students, support families and the elderly, and strengthen our community through compassion-driven programs. We are growing thoughtfully, building one meaningful initiative at a time, and staying true to the values that defined MooMoo’s life.

Our first flagship program, the LBP Because She Cares Scholarship Fund, reflects her belief in opportunity and the importance of education. This scholarship supports motivated students in the Greater Houston Area who demonstrate resilience, service, care for others,  and a commitment to their future. It is our honor to help remove financial barriers and open doors for the next generation.

As we develop additional community initiatives — from hardship relief to elder care, youth empowerment, volunteer events, and seasonal giving — we remain grounded in the same guiding principle that inspired this foundation: because she cared, we care.
